With the seemingly never ending snow piling higher and higher this winter, we would like to remind residents that it is a good idea to adopt the hydrant closest to your home and dig it out after big snows. Taking the extra time to do this labor could save your home or your neighbor’s home in the event of a fire. Digging out a three foot area around the hydrant gives firefighters enough room to work with the hydrant should we need it during firefighting operations.
