Fire Co. Responds to Trent Manor for Major Fire

On the afternoon of February 15, shortly after 2 PM, Montgomery County Radio received numerous 911 calls for smoke and fire coming from a condo unit in Trent Manor.  Fire apparatus from Jefferson (46) and Lower Providence (53) were first on the scene with heavy fire showing.  Because of the extent of fire upon arrival, fire units focused initially on saving neighboring exposures and preventing the fire from consuming the entire row of condos. Additional fire units from Norriton (61), Norristown (27), and King of Prussia (47) were also dispatched to the scene to assist.  Plymouth Ambulance (308) and West Norriton PD were also on the scene initially.  As the companies worked to get the fire under control, it was determined that there was most likely someone in the structure at the time of the fire.  As a result, Montgomery County Detectives and the State Police Fire Marshal were also requested to the scene for an investigation. One person and several dogs were killed in the blaze.  Fire units did not clear the scene until approximately 9PM.
