On Friday, January 22, Jefferson Fire Co. member Mike Harkins was involved in a serious vehicle accident on Rt. 422 (http://www.lpfire.com/history.html?view=1&id=46946).
Mike has been at the University of Pennsylvania Hospital ICU since the accident recovering from his injuries. He was released to a rehab facility on March 2 and has since been allowed to return to his home. As his medical costs climb over $1,000,000, the fire company is holding a fundraiser to help cover some of the costs that are not covered by insurance.
The fundraiser will be held at the IBEW Local 380 Electricians’ Hall located at 3900 Ridge Pike, Collegeville, PA on April 24, 2010 (7p to 12a).
