Second February Snow Storm Bears Down

With a second February snow storm heading our way only days after the region was coated with one to two feet of snow, we would like to take a moment to remind residents to dig out fire hydrants in front of their homes.

As a volunteer fire company, we do not have staff regularly patrolling to ensure all hydrants are clear.  If you have a hydrant near your home that is totally or partially buried, it would be immensely helpful if you could make it accessible.  The minutes you save the fire company by doing this could mean the difference between minor damage and catastrophic loss if a fire occurs in your neighborhood.
